  9. - About the Swatch program

  11. The Swatch company has created a new way of measuring time, called 'Internet 
  12. Time'.  A day in internet time is divided into 1000 Swatch beats, each 1 
  13. minute 26.4 seconds long, counting from @000, which marks midnight BMT (Biel 
  14. Mean Time, named for the home city of Swatch in Switzerland).

  18. To configure Swatch, choose your timezone and indicate whether Daylight 
  19. Savings Time (DST) is in effect in your area.

  21. The converter is accessed from the 'Convert' menu option.  Change either the 
  22. standard or the Internet time, and the other will be automatically adjusted.

  26. If you like Swatch, check out SwatchHack.  SwatchHack is a shareware ($5)
  27. HackMaster module that changes Palm system time to Swatch Internet Time in 
  28. the DateBook, Application launcher, etc.

  32. Swatch was written and compiled on-board a Palm III using Quartus Forth.  
  33. It's a freeware demonstration of Quartus' ability to produce tight, fast, 
  34. stand-alone apps.
